Alaskan Bush People's Matt Brown In Rehab For 90 Days After Relapse Over Mom's Cancer

After Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown’s confession he has entered rehab after suffering another relapse, has exclusively learned the reality star plans to undergo extensive treatment this time around.

“Matt has entered a 90 day inpatient program,” the source said, adding that he could leave after just 30 days should he decide he doesn’t need more time. “He is going to reassess the situation when it gets to that point.”

This is not the first time that the troubled son of Billy, 65, and Ami, 54, has sought professional help. As exclusively reported, the eldest Brown sibling entered rehab in 2016 after a “downward spiral” of alcohol abuse.

After a period of sobriety, Matt began drinking again amid the stress of his mother’s recent cancer battle.

“He started drinking again as a way to cope, and was isolating himself,” the source claimed. “Matt was trying to hide his drinking the best he could, but he could no longer hide it.”

Though he’s now in the hands of experts, the family is still “very worried,” the source continued.

“Matt is the oldest out of all of his brothers and sisters, and everyone looks up to him as a role model. They go to him for guidance.”

Matt’s decision to return to rehab was first reported by People.

In a statement made to the outlet prior to entering a treatment center, Matt said, “I struggle with substance abuse, and after a year of ups and downs, I decided to return to treatment. I’m really grateful for everyone’s support and hope to have my life back on track soon.”
