Inside Alaskan Bush People's Matt Brown's Isolated Lifestyle

Matt Brown hasn’t appeared on Alaskan Bush People for years, as he prefers to live a solitary life in Loomis, Washington, not too far from the family’s North Star Ranch. After he departed from the show, he started working on a farm to make ends meet. With a new season starting, there is some curiosity about what he does during his alone time.

Loomis is tiny, with only 101 residents, so it’s easy to see how Matt can keep a low profile. Even though Matt spends most of his time on the farm, he occasionally has to venture into town to buy groceries. However, he never runs into his siblings or mother, even though they reside in Loomis. Noah, Gabe, Rain, and Snowbird Brown are not on speaking terms with their older brother, and this must hurt Matt. While the Wolf Pack has shunned him, Matt seems to enjoy his remote lifestyle.

To occupy his time, the controversial Alaskan Bush People alum Matt often speaks out about his sobriety, as he hit the two-year mark in 2022. He hopes to spread a positive message and encourages fans to be their best. When Matt has downtime on the farm, the eldest child of Billy and Ami Brown enjoys hiking up Chopaka Mountain. He has shared that he has camped overnight to return to nature.

Why Matt Brown Was Fired From Alaskan Bush People

Matt was entangled in a scandal after he was accused of raping two women in 2008, with the attacks allegedly happening two days apart. The accusations surfaced after Matt had entered rehab for a second time, with both women claiming that the Alaskan Bush People star had been drinking heavily. The two women reported the crimes to the LAPD’s Tonga Division, and the case was handed over to the D.A., who declined to prosecute. Matt was fired from the family show and will likely never be invited back.

The recent Alaskan Bush People season showed the Brown family moving on from the tragic loss of Billy. Some Brown children are trying to return to Alaska, but Bird had been dealing with medical issues. Amy and her offspring haven’t mentioned Matt, even though they all reside in the small Washington town. For now, he must keep to himself and hope to reconcile with his family one day.
