‘It Breaks Our Hearts!’ ‘Alaskan Bush’ Mom Ami’s Family Crushed By Cancer Confession

Ami Brown | Radar Online

After months of rumors, Alaskan Bush People matriarch Ami Brown confirmed that she is undergoing treatment for late-stage lung cancer. And as the Brown family continues to quietly seek recovery, Ami’s estranged brother, Les Branson, told RadarOnline.com exclusively that he and his mother are “deeply saddened” by the horrific news.

“This just breaks our hearts. It breaks my mother’s heart,” says Les, referring to his 84-year-old mother, Earlene Branson, who has not seen her beloved daughter in over 30 years.

“The hardest part is that she’s dying, and we can’t get through to see her,” says Les, who has not spoken to his little sister since soon after she married the “controlling” Billy Brown in their native Texas at just 15 years old.

During a recent episode of Alaskan Bush People, the 53-year-old matriarch’s hubby, Billy, 64, broke the news to his family when he called his wife’s condition “not good!”

“It’s not good at all. They’ve got to do some more tests and stuff and what they can see is stage 3 cancer. She could easily be stage 4,” Billy told the couple’s seven children.

However, recent episodes suggest that things may have taken a turn for the worse, as the network has been rehashing old footage and not giving up any new information about Ami’s condition.

According to Ami’s brother, her estranged mother Earlene, who is in the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s Disease, “watches every single episode” just to see her long-lost daughter.

“The recent ones with Ami’s cancer are so upsetting to her. She is very distraught about it,” Les added.

As RadarOnline.com first reported in May, stories started circulating that Ami was undergoing cancer treatment in Los Angeles.
