The fact that Jane called it the “series finale” makes it sound like this will be the end of the series. However, she also said it was the “ice season series finale,” and this means that it is possible that is what she was talking about. She said the summer season starts on Friday, and there is both a winter and summer season of the show as the miners work in Nome, Alaska.

There has been no renewal for Bering Sea Gold Season 17. However, this is not unusual for Discovery Channel. The network often waits until it is ready to release a new season before it announces it is coming. For Gold Rush, it announced the new season just weeks before it launched last month. This is also true for shows like Alaskan Bush People. For this series, don’t expect to hear anything until the show is ready to go for a new season.
